Wedding albums are a magical and practical way to showcase the images captured on your wedding day. Whether it’s to pop on your coffee table and show to your friends and family, or to keep tucked away for perusal on a rainy day with a cup of tea in hand – an album is always a good idea!
Wondering what different types there are, and what they cost? I’m here to help! I’m breaking down the basics when it comes to wedding albums and books – and telling you why you should get a pro to take care of it. I offer two different types of albums and a book options as add-ons to my photography packages.
THE BOOK This is a 10 inch square wedding book with beautiful matte fine art pages, a translucent title page and a buckram cloth cover. The cover comes in a range of colours – check out the photos to get an idea of the look and feel! Or follow the link to a short video of one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQC6RuuyPbQ&t=13s
THE FLUSHMOUNT ALBUM
This is a contemporary style of wedding album, where the pages run end to end like a book. This allows for the same flexibility as a book, however with the benefits of sturdy, thick pages that lie flat when open.
THE DUO
This is a contemporary take on a classic wedding album design. Matted pages (like you would see in a frame) showcase your images elegantly. This album also has the ability to have edge to edge photos as well.
I design all of my wedding albums, drawing on my years of experience in photography and design. I also use my knowledge from capturing your wedding day to help tell your story. Once you give the design the go-ahead, I send it off to Queensberry to be crafted!
Why Queensberry, you ask? There are a number of reasons they are my favorite supplier for wedding albums and books. First of all, they are a New Zealand company, fully owned and operated in Auckland, by the same family that started the business! Secondly, their quality is second to none. They use archival quality materials that are sustainably sourced, and they hand assemble the books and albums (with a whole lotta love). They also come with a quality guarantee. This means that when I hand over the finished wedding album or book to my client, I know it’ll stand the test of time. The couple will enjoy it – but so will their future generations.
It’s also incredibly important to me to support a New Zealand small business! As the quality of their products is so high, this is reflected in the cost – but you can rest easy knowing that you’re supporting a company that looks after their staff, and offers a sustainable product. I wouldn’t consider putting my name on anything less!
